The incumbent will assume the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation and management of all data storage solutions, virtualised environments, servers (in-house, at data centre, and on cloud) and network devices for HKGI
- Lead the team in developing a multi-cloud strategy, ensuring optimal deployment, cost efficiency, data security, and integration across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
- Develop and regularly update infrastructure management policies, guidelines, and procedures to align with advancements in technologies and business needs
- Maintain the integrity and security of the HKGI’s Information Technology (IT) services, applications, and infrastructure
- Implement and monitor the best practices for data backup and recovery, as well as patch and change management, collaborating closely with internal audit, and security management teams to ensure compliance and mitigate vulnerabilities
- Identify risks and issues in operations and projects, propose practical solutions and conduct regular data privacy and system audits, including Privacy Impact and Compliance Assessments (PIA/PCA) and Security Risk Assessment and Audit (SRAA)
- Monitor and collaborate with external vendors to ensure project deliverables meet HKGI’s operational requirements and established standards
- Provide regular progress updates to management and key stakeholders
- Perform any other duties assigned by senior officers
