Job Overview

The Assistant Manager (Corporate Secretariat) supports the Senior Manager (Corporate Secretariat) in ensuring the effective governance and smooth operation of HKGI’s Board, Committee and Working Groups.  This position is responsible for preparing papers and related documentation, meeting logistics, maintaining records, and upholding the highest standards of corporate governance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject officers to develop and execute an annual meeting plan and agenda for HKGI’s Boards, Committees, and Working Groups
  • Prepare agendas, papers, presentations, and minutes for the Board, Committee and Working Groups meetings
  • Lead the coordination of meeting logistics to ensure meetings are well organised
  • Track and follow up on action items arising from meetings to ensure timely completion and accountability
  • Maintain meticulous and organised records in accordance with record management guidelines
  • Administer the declaration of interest (DoI) process, including soliciting forms from Board/Committee members, maintaining the DoI register and ensuring conflicts are appropriately managed
  • Draft, proofread and finalise a variety of corporate documents, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and professional presentation
  • Perform any other duties assigned by senior officers
Requirements:

We are seeking a high-calibre candidate for the post of Assistant Manager (Corporate Secretariat) who possesses:

  • A bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies, Corporate Governance, Communications, Language Studies or related disciplines
  • At least 5 years of work experience in Board/Committee secretariat work in sizable organisation or public body
  • Excellent English and Chinese writing skills in preparing accurate and concise documentation, along with good interpersonal and communication skills, strong organisational skills and problem-solving ability
  • High integrity to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information

Manager (Infrastructure) - Expired

The incumbent will assume the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, implementation and management of all data storage solutions, virtualised environments, servers (in-house, at data centre, and on cloud) and network devices for HKGI
  • Lead the team in developing a multi-cloud strategy, ensuring optimal deployment, cost efficiency, data security, and integration across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
  • Develop and regularly update infrastructure management policies, guidelines, and procedures to align with advancements in technologies and business needs
  • Maintain the integrity and security of the HKGI’s Information Technology (IT) services, applications, and infrastructure
  • Implement and monitor the best practices for data backup and recovery, as well as patch and change management, collaborating closely with internal audit, and security management teams to ensure compliance and mitigate vulnerabilities
  • Identify risks and issues in operations and projects, propose practical solutions and conduct regular data privacy and system audits, including Privacy Impact and Compliance Assessments (PIA/PCA) and Security Risk Assessment and Audit (SRAA)
  • Monitor and collaborate with external vendors to ensure project deliverables meet HKGI’s operational requirements and established standards
  • Provide regular progress updates to management and key stakeholders
  • Perform any other duties assigned by senior officers
Requirements:

We are seeking a high-calibre candidate for the post of Manager (Infrastructure) who possesses:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related disciplines
  • At least 8 years of post-qualification IT experience, including at least 6 years in IT Infrastructure and 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex IT infrastructure environments and multi-cloud environments
  • Experience in managing large datasets, both in-house and with external service providers
  • Proficiency with storage solutions (SAN, NAS) and familiarity with relevant monitoring tools and techniques
  • Hands-on knowledge of Unix/Linux platforms and scripting using shell/Python

 

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is an advantage
  • Certifications in Unix/Linux Administration and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) are a plus
  • Familiarity with accreditation processes such as ISO-27001 and system security audits
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn alongside team members
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese

Associate Medical Technologist - Expired

Reporting to the Medical Technologist, the incumbent will assume the following responsibilities:

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and analyse clinical specimens via molecular testing methods following standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Perform patient sample handling and processing, including whole blood, buccal swab, saliva, tumour and normal tissues
  • Perform DNA / RNA extraction from various clinical tissue samples
  • Perform quality control (QC) and library preparation, and operate next / third generation sequencing systems and other laboratory equipment and analysers
  • Assist in developing new protocols and evaluating new sequencing technologies and analysers
  • Perform daily and routine laboratory operations, equipment maintenance and calibration
  • Perform cell culture work
  • Participate in research and development
  • Assist in implementation of quality control, documentation, internal audit and external quality assurance programmes to meet the accreditation standard
  • Perform any other duties assigned by senior officers
Requirements:

We are seeking a high-calibre candidate for the post of Associate Medical Technologist who possesses:

  • A bachelor’s degree of Science or relevant in medical laboratory sciences, biochemistry, biology or related disciplines.
  • A certificate of Registration (MLT Part I) and a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Medical Laboratory Technologists Board, Hong Kong (MLT Board)
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in genetic research laboratory or medical laboratories with provision of genetic testing
  • Preferably with 2-3 years of working experience in short and / or long-read sequencing technology, including QC and data analysis
  • Experience in quality management systems, such as quality assurance, development of SOP and operation manual
