The Analyst Programmer will assist in the end-to-end development, integration, and maintenance of HKGI’s clinical applications, bioinformatics platform, and Data Warehouse. Reporting to the System Analyst, the incumbent will assume the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure APIs and applications supporting HKGP recruitment and system integration
- Enhance programming codebases, applying best practices to ensure clean, maintainable, and efficient code quality
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure optimal system reliability and functionality
- Work on database design, query optimisation, and data integration tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure development work is aligned with technical requirements and project goals
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, API specifications, and code comments
- Research and apply emerging technologies and best practices to enhance development processes and platform capabilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior officers
