Dr Derrick AU Kit-sing

Dr Au is the Clinical Professional Consultant (Honorary) and Centre Advisor of the Centre for Bioethics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He received medical education at Brown University in the US and postgraduate training in geriatric medicine in Hong Kong. Dr Au has served in clinical service in geriatrics and rehabilitation for two decades before taking up various management positions in the Hospital Authority (HA), including Director of Quality & Safety, overseeing clinical ethics, research ethics, patient risk management and technology assessment among other responsibilities. Currently, he is Chairman of the Bioethics Course Committee in CUHK Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the HA Clinical Ethics Committee. Dr Au is also a writer and columnist with publications on bioethics, professional ethics, and history of medicine.
